The Obinna Show has seen another key member exit. Following Dem Wa Facebook’s departure, comedian Baba Kaunty has also decided to part ways with the popular show.

In a candid explanation, Baba Kaunty clarified that his departure was not due to being fired, as some online rumours suggested. “Oga Obinna alinichukua pale, I was not under any contract, so ilikuwa tu tunasaidiana kama mandugu kazi iendelee,” he shared.
He emphasised that his decision to leave was entirely his own, driven by the need to focus on personal projects, including the Baba Kaunty Foundation.
“It was my own choice to leave. No one decided for me. It was a tough decision. Nimekuwa nikifikiria tangu hii mwaka ikianza si ati ni kitu niliamka tu nikaamua. Ni kitu nimekuwa nikishindwa nitaambiaje Obi,” Baba Kaunty revealed. He added that saying goodbye wasn’t easy, but it was time for him to move forward.
Baba Kaunty has since been replaced by Pamela Aely, a rising Kenyan comedian and actress. Pamela Aely has quickly become a fan favourite, bringing her unique style and humor to the show.
Despite his departure, Baba Kaunty expressed gratitude to Oga Obinna, describing him as a great mentor and brother. “He took me in like a brother. We did a lot of things together. His platform is the best for mentoring. When you are there, you learn a lot.”
The Obinna Show continues to thrive with its new hostess, and fans are excited to see what Pamela Aely will bring to the table.
