Kenyan music producer Magix Enga, known for his hit songs and once-successful career, has recently faced financial constraints and a mental health crisis that led to a hiatus from the music scene. However, his wife has now taken matters into her own hands, appealing to Enga’s friends to help him overcome his struggles with drugs.
In an open interview with Nairobi News, Enga revealed that he couldn’t support his wife and child during this challenging period. As a result, he had to transfer them to live with his mother-in-law. The producer, who once produced songs that topped the charts, found himself in a difficult situation, unable to provide for his family.
Enga’s plea for assistance didn’t stop there. He reached out to President William Ruto, hoping for support from the government. “Right now, I have a one-month-old baby boy who is depending on me,” Magix Enga lamented. “I tried to pull myself together, but the studio I was working in was shut down due to rent issues.”
Radio host Mzazi Willy M Tuva also stepped in to offer support. Tuva visited Magix Enga in Nakuru, where they discussed his challenges and brainstormed solutions. Their goal is to revive Enga’s career and help him overcome his struggles.
The music producer expressed gratitude to those who stood by him during his difficult times. He specifically acknowledged individuals and entities who supported him throughout his journey, including Kerry Lens, Asila Bunny, Nebert Nebo, Big Afrique Studios, and DJ Sule. Enga’s wife remains a pillar of strength, appealing to his friends to rally around him as he battles addiction.
As Magix Enga prepares for a grand music comeback, he carries with him the support of an incredible team and the unwavering belief of his new hometown, Eldoret. Together, they aim to write a story of resilience, redemption, and gratitude. Enga will also take on a new role as a music producer at Big Afrique Studios in Eldoret, looking forward to creating timeless music with his team.
