The serene landscapes of Yatta, Machakos County, were the backdrop for a truly exquisite wedding ceremony on June 29, 2024, as Saada, daughter of Wiper Party leader Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, tied the knot with her beloved Nyaga. The event was a blend of elegance and tradition, attended by a host of prominent leaders and dignitaries.
The wedding was a vibrant affair, with the venue adorned in stunning decorations featuring orange flowers as centerpieces, perfectly complementing the couple’s attire. Saada dazzled in an elegant orange gown decorated with African print patterns, popularly known as Kitenge, while Nyaga looked dapper in a brown suit with a matching Kitenge print shirt.
The ceremony was graced by several high-profile guests, reflecting the couple’s esteemed social circles. Among the notable attendees were Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, Kitui Senator Wambua Kiio, Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu, and Makueni Women Representative Rose Museo. Their presence added a touch of political significance to the joyous occasion.
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko shared his heartfelt congratulations with the newlyweds, expressing his joy and best wishes for their future. “Unto you Saada and Nyaga, on behalf of my family, I’m so happy to share this start of your wonderful journey with you both as you build your new lives together. May your beautiful marriage be full of everlasting joy. Congratulations. I wish you peace, joy, and happiness today and forever,” Sonko stated.
Saada, an accomplished legal practitioner, follows closely in her father’s footsteps. She holds a law degree, a Master’s Degree in International Human Rights, and a PhD from Leeds University. Her illustrious career includes serving as the Global Human Rights Assistant at Rights and Security International (RSI). Her wedding comes just weeks after her brother Kelvin Muasya married Sharon Nthoki in another grand ceremony held in Machakos County.
The wedding was not only a celebration of love but also a showcase of cultural heritage, with guests dressed in traditional outfits that highlighted the rich Kenyan culture. The couple’s choice of attire and the venue’s decor created a harmonious blend of modern elegance and traditional charm.
As Saada and Nyaga embark on this new chapter of their lives, the blessings and well-wishes from family, friends, and political leaders will undoubtedly accompany them on their journey together.
