Kamba Gospel Artist Stella Mengele Demands Apology from Oga Obinna for Degrading Remarks

Stella Mengele, a well-known Kamba gospel singer, and Oga Obinna, a media personality, are at odds over remarks Obinna made in a recent interview. When Obinna’s contentious question implied that Mengele and Ndeke were having an illicit relationship, the gospel singer responded angrily.

In the interview, Obinna implied that Mengele had a past romantic involvement with Ndeke ya Muthanga, a claim that Stella Mengele vehemently denies. “Watu walikuwa wanasema wewe na Stella Mengele kuna venye unaigonga. Si Kuna time uliishi kwake? Ulikuwa unashinda na yeye sana ikasemekana Mr. Twerkerman ana…,” Obinna remarked.

Infuriated by these implication, Mengele addressed the matter openly on social media. She emphasized that she will not stand to be pulled into the muck of unfounded charges by comparing Obinna’s actions to a pig having fun in mud in a now-viral video. “Nguruwe huwa zinafikiria kila mtu anaenjoy matope kwa sababu hata ukiziosha, nguruwe will still find fun in mad. This bullying of Social Media has got to stop. You insinuating that I had sexual engagements with Ndeke. You’re sick Obinna,” Mengele responded.

Mengele further expressed her frustration with Obinna’s conduct, highlighting the damaging impact of social media bullying. She stated, “If you enjoy rolling in mad please don’t drag me into your sh*t. If I was not the kind of woman that I am, I would have dragged your mother in this mess but you know I don’t think when a mother gives birth to an idiot, they should be punished. NO, women work hard!”

Mengele denounced Obinna’s alleged exploitation of women for personal gain in her impassioned speech, emphasizing that such behavior impacts not only the individuals involved but also their families. “I believe your mother sometimes gets embarrassed at the things you do including taking advantage of women to pay your rent…Unatumia wanawake kama stairs. This nonsense has to stop,” she asserted.

The exchange between Mengele and Obinna has sparked widespread attention and debate on social media, with many users weighing in on the appropriateness of Obinna’s remarks and the larger issue of online bullying.
