
The final journey of comedian Fred Omondi, who tragically lost his life in a road accident days ago, begins today with a burial program attended by family, friends, and fans. Fred Omondi, brother to renowned comedian and activist Erick Omondi, will be remembered for his vibrant humor and the joy he brought to many lives.

The day’s proceedings start early at Chiromo Mortuary with a service held from 7:30 am to 9 am. The somber gathering will see close family members and friends paying their last respects before Fred’s body is transported to Kisumu. As per the program, while some mourners will travel by road, others will accompany the body on a flight from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to Kisumu International Airport.
Upon arrival in Kisumu, the body will be respectfully received, and a convoy will then proceed to Sega, Ugenya, where preparations for the final rites are underway.

The funeral service will be held at Sega, Ugenya, starting in the morning hours. Mourners will make their way to the homestead following specific directions: once in Sega, they should drive straight towards Busia for less than a kilometer until they see Ugambe Primary School on the right, then take a left turn leading directly to the family homestead.
The atmosphere is expected to be filled with both grief and celebration as family members and friends recount cherished memories of Fred. Erick Omondi, alongside other family members, is expected to express their deep sorrow but also their gratitude for the overwhelming support shown during this difficult time.
