Activist Boniface Mwangi has reportedly been taken from his Ukambani residence, known as Courage Base, by unidentified individuals, according to statements from his wife. This development comes just 24 hours after Mwangi publicly announced plans to infiltrate the Standard Chartered Marathon, scheduled to take place today, Sunday.
In a social media post on Saturday evening, Mwangi encouraged his supporters to attend the marathon dressed in attire expressing opposition to the Kenya Kwanza administration. Known for his outspoken criticism of the government, Mwangi had called for peaceful protests during the event to draw attention to perceived injustices under the current regime.
