Kenyan TikTok sensation and media personality Azziad Nasenya is facing a major financial setback after her luxurious apartment in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, was listed for auction due to a KSh 25 million mortgage default. The news has sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and critics weighing in on the dramatic turn of events.

According to a gazette notice published by Okuku Agencies Auctioneers, the property,  a 4-bedroom apartment with a servant’s quarter located at Platinum Oak Residency, Block A, along Oloitoktok Road, will be auctioned on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Jeevan Bharati Building in Nairobi.

The auction terms require interested bidders to pay a refundable deposit of KSh 100,000 to obtain a bidding number, with a 10% down payment due at the fall of the hammer. Azziad, who rose to fame in 2020 through viral TikTok dance videos and later secured radio and brand endorsement deals, has yet to issue a public statement regarding the auction. Her silence has only intensified online debate, with many questioning the sustainability of influencer lifestyles in Kenya’s volatile economy. The remaining balance must be settled within 90 days, as per the terms of sale.

This development comes amid growing speculation about Azziad’s financial stability. Just weeks ago, she was accused by several acquaintances of borrowing money and failing to repay, further fueling public scrutiny. Social media has erupted with commentary, with some users suggesting the mortgage may have been taken during her peak fame, while others criticized her for allegedly living beyond her means.
